CHAOS

A head piled up with nothing but dichotomy
A visage that no longer spits the reality
A life lived in contrast to one’s own identity
A world where poverty is also a luxury
You say something you never wanted
You do something you never wanted
You hesitate doing something you longed for
You walk away from something you are called for

When people answer a question with another question
When marriage becomes nothing but a mirage
When being tranquil is no longer an option
When your heart, not the head fails to envisage
We ignore this error in which we live through,
a glitch that we happily accept through
the entire chapter, turning pages as if
nothing is wrong with the age-old belief
We do succeed at failing others
We do fail at pleasing ourselves
Yet some live for pleasing others
And others pleased for tormenting lives
Yes, we lack something key-reflection
a reflection of self, devoid of deception
